“Auf Wiederluege”

I know, I know. I’ve been saying goodbye for months now. But this time I really, really mean it. The flight leaves tomorrow from O’Hare. I plan to blog the adventure … as soon as I land and find my stuff and get wi-fi and think of something interesting to write. In the meantime, Auf Wiederluege! Blessings!

About Doug

I have been a writer ever since fifth grade when I won second prize in a “prose and poetry” contest. I am also a Presbyterian pastor, and for several years toward the end of my career I lived and worked in Zürich, Switzerland. I am now retired and live just north of Holland, Michigan, along the lake.

Off, departing Kansas Dorothy-like for lands and folk unknown, an adventure pregnant by Promise’s promise …: “I love you, even to the end of time and earth.” Go well into that gentle light.

Bruce, you’ve been a poet as long as I’ve known you! And I’m always surprised because I don’t expect a poet to emerge from a military academy. I’m glad it happened.
