A Prayer for Wednesday Morning

Lord, be with us this day,
Within us to purify us;
Above us to draw us up;
Beneath us to sustain us;
Before us to lead us;
Behind us to restrain us;
Around us to protect us.

(Patrick c389-461)

Sometimes it’s the prayers of those who have gone before us that we most need to pray.

    We have been away for a wonderful week in beautiful CO. Yours was the first mail I opened before attacking the multitude of things needing my attention after being gone. It was calming and reassuring—everything else takes second place to asking for God’s presence in all we do! This is a good prayer to commit to memory and recite on my daiiy walks. Thank you!
